22-year-old held in Noida for stunt on two moving SUVs

Noida: Police arrested a 22-year-old man Sunday for allegedly doing stunts with two SUVs, a video of which has gone viral on social media. The stuntman, Rajiv Kumar, is a resident of Sorkha village.
The video shows Kumar balancing himself standing between two moving cars, with his feet on the adjacent hoods as he keeps his arms raised. The stunt is a recreation of a scene from a 1991 Bollywood film, Phool Aur Kaante, the debut film of Ajay Devgn, in which he performs the same stunt. The actor repeated the action in another of his movies, Golmaal 3, which came out in 2010.
Kumar, in another video, shows off stunts while being motorcycle-borne on the expressway. Police have seized both the cars and the two-wheeler under the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988.
Sharad Kant, the station house officer (SHO) of the Sector 113 police station, told TOI that the two videos went viral on social media on Saturday afternoon. Police came to know about the videos soon and started to trace the number plates of the vehicles. “We soon identified the man as Rajiv Kumar and arrested him for making nuisance by doing dangerous stunts in public under the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988. During the investigation, it came to light that Rajiv had taken one of the Toyota Fortuners used in the stunts from his relatives. While the other one belongs to his father,” the SHO said.
Rajiv Kumar is not employed but belongs to an earning family and made the video to upload it on social media and become famous, the SHO added.
