City logs 9 new cases, active tally 44

Vadodara: The city on Sunday registered nine new cases of Covid-19. The city’s share in cases was more than half of the total number of cases that the state registered in the past 24 hours ending on Sunday. The state registered 15 fresh cases of Covid-19.
The new cases have been registered from Gorwa, Diwalipura, Akota and Navi Dharti areas. Of the nine fresh cases, eight have been reported from west zone of Vadodara Municipal Corporation while one is from north zone.
The results were from 986 samples that were tested since Saturday evening. With this, the total number of Covid-19 cases in Vadodara city and district since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 1,34,160. With no death being reported, the official death toll stood at 757. At the same time, a total of 11 patients were declared as discharged, taking the total number of discharged to 1,33,359.
Currently, there are 44 active cases in Vadodara, of which 43 are under home isolation while one is in hospital. The patient under hospitalization, however, has mild symptoms .
