Telecommunications company Optus unveils Optus Eco, a feature in My Optus App, to inform customers on how to beat climate change in their own ways.

The launch of Optus Eco comes timely as Optus also announced its new climate action commitment.

“By the end of 2025, 100% of our electricity requirements will be backed by renewable energy sources,” Rosmarin explains.

This also coincides with Optus’ sustainability-linked $300 million bond last November—a first for an Asian Pacific telco, Optus claims.

“We know ensuring our planet remains habitable for future generations takes an ‘all of us approach’, and we are excited to empower our customers to make their own positive impact on the environment alongside our own strong commitments to a brighter, greener future,” Rosmarin concludes.
