City records 120 new Covid cases, +tivity rate 4.6%

Gurgaon: The city on Sunday reported 120 new Covid cases. It had reported 172 cases on Saturday.
The daily positivity rate has also declined to 4.6% on Sunday from 5.7% on Saturday. While Gurgaon added 6,287 fresh Covid cases so far this month, it currently has 707 active cases. In April, the city saw 5,894 cases.
On Sunday, 2,587 tests were carried out.
Gurgaon has been adding 350-450 new Covid cases since April 24 and finally after May 15, the city has been reporting less than 200 cases.
Dr Virender Yadav, chief medical officer, Gurgaon said, “This is the first time after more than a month that the positivity rate is less than 5%. Last time the positivity remained less than 5% was on April 9, at 4.3%. With this, it is evident that the infection rate is declining.”
