Samsung introduced the Galaxy A53 smartphone in March 2022. The device runs on Android 12 OS out of the box along with One UI 4.1 on top. Underneath, it equips an octa-core Exynos 1280 processor. Galaxy A53 features a 6.5 inches Super AMOLED display with a 32 MP selfie shooter. On the other side, there’s a quad-camera island led by a 64MP primary sensor.

- [May 17, 2022]: Samsung Galaxy A53 is getting a new update for the carrier-unlocked version in the US. The build arrives on firmware version A536U1UES2AVE1 and it packs the May 2022 security patch. Also, it might carry some general bug fixes and device stability improvements as well.
- [May 10, 2022]: A new update is rolling out for the Galaxy A53 5G in the Philippines. The build packs the May 2022 security patch with firmware version A536EXXU2AVD7. Also, it might include some general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
- [April 19, 2022]: The April 2022 security patch is extending to the European unit of Galaxy A53 5G. Arriving on firmware version A536BXXU1AVCC, the update also improves the camera stability of the device. Precisely, the build is rolling out in Austria, Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
- [April 12, 2022]: The Galaxy A53 5G is getting the April 2022 security patch update in South Korea and India. For the home country, the build arrives on the A536NKSU1AVCC version, while it carries the A536EXXU1AVCD number in India.

To give it a self-check, head over to the Settings app > Software update and tap on Download and install. Also, we suggest you switch over to a WiFi network before downloading the update to avoid data charges.
