25 Covid cases surface in Tricity

CHANDIGARH/MOHALI/PANCHKULA: Chandigarh logged 10 Covid cases on Saturday while 18 patients were discharged. There are 67 active cases and positivity rate has been recorded at 0.90%.
Mohali reported six Covid cases and no death. There are 49 active cases at present. Chief medical officer Dr Adarshpal Kaur said out of 95,974 Covid cases reported so far, 94,777 patients have been cured and discharged. Panchkula reported nine fresh Covid cases and no death on Saturday. There are 29 active cases in the district. Chief medical officer (CMO) Dr Mukta Kumar said out of 44,299 Covid cases reported so far, 43,856 patients have been cured and discharged from the civil hospital in Sector 6.
Experts have advised residents to take precautions to prevent another upsurge in cases. They urged people to wear masks, maintain social distancing and adequate hand hygiene. They also stressed the importance of getting vaccinated.
