CM want to work with ‘D-gang’ minister: Fadnavis

Nagpur: Continuing his tirade against the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government, leader of opposition Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday said chief minister Uddhav Thackeray wants to work with minister Nawab Malik who had relations with Dawood Ibrahim gang.
Talking with the media at the airport here, he said the charge sheet filed against Malik made startling revelations about his alleged links with the D-gang. Yet, the MVA government wants to save him and have retained him as minister.
“In last two years, the MVA government did nothing to obtain empirical data for OBC reservation in politics and made zero efforts to restore it. On the other hand, their leaders are busy in saving Malik having clear links with the D-gang. If they had made efforts for the OBC reservation instead of saving the minister, it would have been restored by now,” said Fadnavis.
The former CM blamed Congress for creating a divide in the society with its flawed policies. He stated that under PM Narendra Modi’s effective leadership, the country was once again reuniting. “We all are sons and daughters of the Bharat Mata and efforts are being made to make the nation progressive. There has been peace in the country since Modi took over. However, the opposition is unnerved by this peace and want to disturb the communal harmony,” he said.
