At 60-90% survival rate, plantation drives show ‘good’ result
A third-party audit of plantations undertaken by various authorities has revealed that the survival rate for 2016-17, 201718 and 2018-19 varied from 60% to 90%. While the audit of agencies like Delhi Development Authority (DDA), public works department (PWD), environment department, north corporation and Delhi Metro is over, the exercise is still pending for some, including central PWD, Delhi Jal Board, Northern Railway, south and east corporations, and Delhi Transport Corporation.
