CHENNAI: The city’s weather may continue to be tolerable for the next few days. IMD said the days may begin with cloudy skies and continue with below normal temperatures in the city and the suburbs, with some spells at least for the next two days. Bloggers said day temperatures may start to rise towards the end of the month as weather conditions become favourable for the onset of southwest monsoon over Kerala.
For the next 48 hours, IMD has forecast thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall over some areas in the city and the suburbs with skies partly cloudy. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 37 deg C and 28 deg C.
“The weather condition over the city and the suburbs is likely due to an upper air circulation and convective activity,” a meteorologist said. Blogger Pradeep John said, “Temperatures may increase by a degree or two due to strong westerlies-north westerlies expected by the end of this month.”
