Jharkhand: Goods train mows down 3 minors sleeping on tracks in Dumka

DUMKA: Three minors, including a girl, were mowed down by a goods train when they were reportedly asleep on the Dumka-Rampurhat track near Buchyam village under Shikaripara police station in the district early on Saturday. A girl, who was along with the deceased, managed to escape and narrated the incident.
In the morning, locals spotted the scattered bodies on the track and informed the police. Later, the bodies, along with the severed heads, were sent to the Phulo Jhano Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
The deceased were identified as Ajay Hembrom (16), Simon Marandi (14), both from Saharjori village, and Albina Murmu (12), who belonged to the nearby Durgapur village under the Shikaripara police station. Hembrom and Marandi were students of Class XI and Class VIII while Murmu studied in Class V.
