PM Narendra Modi to attend International Yoga Day event in Mysuru

MYSURU: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend International Day of Yoga (IDY) celebrations in Mysuru on June 21.
Rajesh Kumar Kotecha, secretary of the ministry of Ayush, informed Karnataka chief secretary P Ravi Kumar that the main event of this year's IDY will be held in Mysuru and Prime Minister Modi will be participating in it. He sent an official communication to state authorities.
"Preparations for IDY 2022 are under way. As it's the year of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the ministry plans to observe IDY at 75 iconic sites across the country. This year, IDY will focus on Branding India on the global stage," Kotecha said.
The venue will be finalised in a day or two," said MP Prathap Simha.
