LUCKNOW: An investigation into the SI exam case has traced 10 examination centres where candidates freely adopted unjust means to qualify in the exam.
While three centres are in Agra, two each are in Gorakhpur and
Mee rut and one each in Bulandshahr, Mainpuri and Shamli.

Prachi Singh said that 10 more people were arrested in the case on Saturday. “Now, the total number of arrested has reached 86,” she said.
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) had conducted the online exam for the SI’s post from November 12 to December 2 last year.
Singh said that 10 examination centres where 76 students took the exam are under the scanner.
“We have also found that owners of these examination centres were paid a hefty sum before and after the exam,” said the officer.
“Some of the arrested students who took the exam, including
Rajat Kumar and Ashutosh Sharma, had taken the online exam at Krishna Infotech’s Agra centre,” he said.
Rajat and Ashutosh had also transferred Rs 7 lakh and Rs 5 lakh respectively to the owner of the centre for receiving undue benefit while taking the exam, said the officer.
The probe also revealed that another accused,
Prateek Chaudhary, had deposited Rs 5 lakh in the account of the owner of the exam centre in Bulandshahr.
