ULHASNAGAR: The Central police station in
Ulhasnagar have booked 4 people, including a local businessman
Ram Wadhwa, and arrested one of them for planting banned mephedrone (MD) drugs inside scooter of a rival businessman to fabricate him in false case.
According to the police last month 25grams of MD drugs worth Rs 1.25 lakhs were found inside scooter of local businessman Rajesh Talreja.
The police initially upon recovery had booked Talreja under under relevant provisions of the
Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The police said during probe however they found someone else planted drugs inside scooter of Talreja and upon enquiry and scrutiny of CCTV footage found role of
Rahul Sharma who works at two wheeler workshop in city.
Mahesh Ralebhat, Assistant Police Inspector of Central police station said, "The probe revealed that Sharma planted drugs on instructions of Ram Wadhwa and two others and as per finding we have booked four people and arrested Sharma while hunt for Wadhwa and others are going on."
The police sources said Ram Wadhwa and Talreja had some business dispute and to teach lesson to him Wadhwa planted drugs.
