Ludhiana: A day after three children drowned in
Satluj river near Khurshaidpura village,
Sidhwan Bet, divers recovered the third body, too, on Friday morning. Two bodies were fished out on Thursday night. The deceased are Sukhchain Singh, Charanjit Singh and Akashdeep Singh, all residents of
Nihanga Da Dera in Khurshaidpura village.
Cops said, “The three, who were around 13-year-old, had gone to the Satluj river to take a bath on Thursday afternoon. When they did not return, their parents started looking for them.”
The parents came to know about the incident in the evening and they informed the police. Sidhwan Bet police reached the spot and started a rescue operation.

Surjeet Singh said, “Bodies of Sukhchain and Charanjit were recovered on Thursday night and of Akashdeep around 7am on Friday. The children had never been to school.”
