Panic after ST bus catches fire

Vadodara: A state transport bus caught fire on a busy road in Lunavada in Mahisagar district. While the incident led to a panic, the fire did not spread out of the bus and was limited to the cabin.
The incident took place in the Dahod-Radhanpur bus when it was passing by the Cottage Crossroads in the town. Seeing smoke billowing out of the area where the engine of the bus is located, the vehicle was stopped at once and all the passengers were taken out of it. Some of them even climbed out from the windows in panic.
Those working at establishments in the area and shopkeepers rushed to the bus and threw water to douse the fire, even as firemen reached the spot and started spraying water.
The fire was soon brought under control and nobody was injured in the incident and passengers could also bring out their belongings.
