LUDHIANA: Two days after a worker at a liquor vend was found murdered in a field in a village in Samrala, police on Saturday arrested his wife, her alleged and two of his accomplices in the case.
Police averred that wife, mother of three children, had got her husband killed as he was hooked to drugs, would beat and abuse her so she got him murdered through her alleged lover and his two accomplices.
The accused were identified as Amandeep Kaur, wife of deceased Yadwinder Singh of Mutiyon village, her alleged lover Deepa and his accomplices Gagandeep and Lakshman, who live in Raikot town and are neighbours.
On Thursday morning, dead body of Yadwinder Singh was found in a field in Bhagwanpura village whereas his motorcycle was found at some distance from there. Police had later booked unidentified accused for his murder.
DSP Samrala Harwinder Singh said that probe suggests that Yadwinder was an alleged addict, would allegedly beat his wife, use bad words and would suspect of her infidelity. He added that the accused Amandeep Kaur had an affair with Deepa of Raikot, who allegedly told him that if he did this work, she will marry him and will live with him.
