Rajnath Singh called
Gujarat, the centre of religious, social, spiritual and economic consciousness.
Speaking at the youth conclave organized by the Karelibaug Swaminarayan temple, Singh said that the state gives its visitors positive energy. He further said that Indian culture presented unity in diversity and added that the culture was both ancient and modern at the same time.
While lauding the work of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, he said that various religions, sects and opinions had been preserved by our culture. He said that Swaminarayan had paved the way for the spiritual progress of poor, Dalits, victims and women and worked to end social evils 225 years ago.
Mentioning that the lessons of humanity, virtues and spirituality given in the
Shikhshapatri will live forever, Singh said that the holy book’s relevance has increased in today’s times.
A Guinness Book of World Record certificate for the longest audio book was also released on the occasion.
The audio book comprises
Haricharitramruta Sagar Katha discourse by
Shri Gyanjivandasji. The ‘katha’ had lasted for 2,440 hours, 44 minutes and 52 seconds. It had started on June 10, 2011. Singh also unveiled a large book on Vachnamrut that has also found a place in the Guinness Book.
Before attending the conclave, Singh had also met representatives of the armed forces in the city.
