63-year-old ends life

Udupi: A 63-year-old man allegedly died by suicide, by hanging himself to a tree, by using a nylon rope, which was used to lift water from a well, near his house at Moodabettu village of Kaup taluk on Thursday.
The deceased is Mark Martis, who had returned to his hometown from abroad, two years ago, after working there for many years. Family sources said that Mark used to complain that he was suffering from depression. He was undergoing treatment for depression at a private hospital in Udupi. Martis’s wife Aniet and daughter Anime found his body hanging inside the well. Kaup police have registered a case.
