The Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra was more concerned about bar operators and reducing the prices of foreign liquor than solving problems faced by farmers, senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said on Friday.

Addressing a farmers' rally organised by Sadabhau Khot in Tembhurni in Solapur, the leader of opposition in the state Assembly said the MVA government has not given a penny to those affected by storms, heavy rains etc.

In a sarcastic vein, Fadnavis said Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray launched the 'my family, my responsibility' campaign (an anti-COVID move centring on the family as a unit) and since then all his ministers were just bothered about "my family, my responsibility' rather than farmers and common citizens of the state.
