A second case of Omicron BA.4 variant has been reported from India. A person from Tamil Nadu's Chengalpattu district has been found infected with the virus. Tamil Nadu health minister Ma Subramanian has said that the patient has now recovered. The first case of the BA.4 sub-variant was recorded in Hyderabad on Friday. The BA.4 and BA.5 variants of Omicron were first reported by South African health officials in January and February.
