Ahmedabad registers 19 new Covid cases in last 24 hours

AHMEDABAD: The city on Friday recorded 19 new Covid cases. With the discharge of 23 patients, the active cases were down to 125. Gujarat recorded 32 new cases and discharge of 33 patients, taking the active cases to 205.
The other cases included eight from Vadodara city, three from Gandhinagar city, and one each from Surat city and Ahmedabad district. Out of the active cases, two were on ventilators, said state health department officials. Out of 33 districts, 26 had zero active cases.
Gujarat in 24 hours vaccinated 2,120 persons for the first dose and 50,845 for the second. In all, 5.18 crore were given two doses of Covid vaccine.
