Another hot day in city

Ludhiana: Maximum temperature continued to remain many degrees above normal. But the met department predicts weather disturbance on Saturday.
According to the met department, the day temperature in Ludhiana was recorded 44.7 degrees Celsius on Friday, which is 5.2 degrees Celsius more than normal. A day before, the maximum temperature was 42.7 degrees Celsius, which was 3.2 degrees more than normal.
The minimum (night) temperature on Friday was recorded at 27.1 degrees Celsius, which was 3.4 degrees more than normal and 2.1 degrees more than a day before.
Met department officials said from May 21 to 24, there are chances of rainfall. They added that day and night temperatures are expected to fall during these days.
Met department website said day temperature is expected to reach 38 degrees by May 24, whereas night temperature may drop to 25 degrees around the same time.
