Nestle India(up 4.77%), Prataap Snacks(up 4.17%), Varun Beverages(up 3.98%), Umang Dairies(up 3.96%), Britannia Industries(up 3.55%), Marico(up 3.54%), Emami(up 3.40%), Hind.Foods(up 3.20%), Nakoda Group(up 3.18%) and Hindustan Unilever(up 2.71%) stood among the top gainers.
Godrej Consumer Products(down 4.68%), Zydus Wellness(down 2.22%), Future Consumer(down 2.08%), Euro India Fresh Foods(down 2.04%), Jyothy Labs(down 1.22%), DFM Foods(down 0.61%), Tasty Bite Eatables(down 0.30%) and Dodla Dairy(down 0.02%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 456.75 points up at 16266.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 1534.16 points at 54326.39.
Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 8.13%), Reliance Industries(up 5.83%), JSW Steel(up 5.15%), Tata Motors(up 4.85%), Nestle India(up 4.77%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 4.74%), Tata Steel(up 4.32%), Cipla(up 4.31%), Larsen & Toubro(up 4.01%) and Britannia Industries(up 3.55%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Shree Cement(down 0.97%) and UPL Ltd(down 0.71%) closed in the red.
