CHENNAI: A 32-year-old man, who allegedly made a hoax call to the police control room and claimed to have planted bombs at chief minister M K Stalin's house has been arrested. The accused has been identified as K Tamarai Kannan of Suthamalli village in Tirunelveli district. On Wednesday night, the police control room received a bomb threat call where the person claimed to have planted explosives at the CM's residence and Chennai airport. A bomb detection and disposal squad conducted a search in and around the CM's residence and the airport. As no explosives were found, police concluded that it was a hoax call. Police traced the caller to Tirunelveli. The man told police that he was drunk when he made the call. His friends told the police that he was addicted to ganja. Further inquiries are on.
