A resident of Jyoti Nagar, Mysuru and a PSI aspirant Tara told a local newspaper, Star of Mysore, that she had given her four years in prepping for the PSI exam and it was not the right decision on government's part to announce a re-exam for everyone after the unearthing of the scam.

She said over 50,000 candidates had appeared in the exam and majority of the candidates who had written the exam with honesty are suffering due to this and are really depressed with the government's order of conducting the exam again for all the candidates. Rather the government should select the candidates based on their merits.
