Four students drown in Khed taluka near Pune

PUNE: Four standard X students of a private residential school in Khed taluka on Thursday drowned in the backwaters of Chaskman dam about 60km from here on Thursday.
Senior inspector of the Khed police Satish Gurav told TOI that the students including two girls had gone for swimming in the dam waters after their exams. "While swimming they drowned in the waters.
The other students with them raised an alarm. The locals in the area jumped into the waters to trace the students," Gurav said.
He said that the bodies of all the four students were recovered late in the evening. "The bodies will be sent for the post-mortem," Gurav said.
