Domestic LPG cylinder price crosses Rs 1,000 mark with Rs 3.5 hike

The price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has been hiked by Rs 3.5 from today. A cylinder will now cost Rs 1,003. Earlier it was Rs 999.50.

This is the second hike in cylinder prices this month which takes LPG rate across the country over the Rs 1,000-mark.

Commercial cooking gas was also hiked past week by Rs 102.50 per cylinder as global energy prices continue to rise on the backdrop of the Ukraine crisis and supply concerns. In the national capital, the 19 kg commercial cylinder now costs 2355.50, while in Mumbai. the price was hiked from Rs 2205 to Rs 2,307 per cylinder.

In Kolkata and Chennai, a 19-kg cylinder will now cost Rs 2,455 and Rs 2,508 respectively.
