Not-for-provider Able Australia says McKeown brings more than 20 years of experience across the health and disability sector to her new role – including a strong focus on operations, quality and governance.
McKeown has held senior roles at both Monash Health and National Health Service (UK).
McKeown said she is excited to take on the challenging role of CEO at Able Australia and intends to use her background in healthcare operations to continue to “drive excellence in disability support both at Able Australia and in influencing the sector more broadly”.
“It is an honour to be named the new CEO of Able Australia. My intention in this role is to deliver better days, every day, for our clients, families, and workforce,” McKeown said.
“In my role as CEO, I want to ensure that we’re striving for new and innovative ways of ensuring that our clients’ quality of life is always being improved, founded on the goals that they articulate for themselves.”
McKeown has previously held a number of executive positions within Able Australia, most recently as Chief Operating Officer.
Able Australia says that with this integral knowledge of Able Australia’s objectives and internal systems, McKeown is stepping into her new role as CEO more prepared than ever.
Able says it has “proudly supported clients” to reach their full potential for over 50 years and provides services in Melbourne, Tasmania, ACT and South East Queensland.
