Two cousins drown in Kota anicut

KOTA: A nine-year-old boy and his eight-year-old cousin sister drowned in an anicut in Teliyakhedi village under Modak police station of Kota on Wednesday.
Modak police station SHO Rajendra Meena said, the boy has been identified as Rahul and his cousin sister Kiran (8). Both drowned while taking bath. The rescue operation was immediately launched by locals and both were rescued and rushed to local hospital where the doctor declared them brought dead, he said.
Meena said, the police handed over bodies to respective family members after post-mortem and lodged a case of unnatural death under Section 174 of Cr.P.C. for probe into the matter. The deceased hailed from Madhya Pradesh. Their parents were working as labourers in Modak area and living in rented accommodation, he said.
Man attacked by crocodile: In another incident, a 38-year-old man, identified as Bablu, a resident of Khatoli town, was allegedly attacked by a crocodile and pulled into deep water while he was bathing at Ramghat on the bank of Parvati river in the town.
