Rape-accused son of Rajasthan minister fails to appear before cops in Delhi

JAIPUR: Rajasthan cabinet minister Mahesh Joshi’s rape-accused son Rohit missed Delhi Police’s deadline to show up at the capital’s Sadar Bazar police station for interrogation by 1pm on Wednesday, fuelling speculation that he has gone into hiding despite his father’s refrain that there was no question of evading the law.
Earlier this month, the 23-year-old woman visited Sadar Bazar police station and filed a complaint of sexual assault. She alleged that Rohit assaulted her on multiple occasions.
