Ludhiana: Residents had to battle hot weather as maximum (day) temperature in Ludhiana was recorded many degrees above normal on Wednesday. The met department predicts mainly clear weather in city for next four days and then rainfall for two days. According to the met department, the day temperature in Ludhiana was recorded at 42.1 degrees Celcius, which is 2.6 degrees Celcius more than normal. A day before, the day temperature was witnessed at 40.7 degrees Celsius, which was 1.2 degrees more than normal. Meanwhile, the minimum (night) temperature in city on Wednesday was recorded at 27.5 degrees Celsius, which was 3.8 degrees more than normal and 1.8 degrees more than a day before. Met department officials said the weather forecast from May 19 to 22 is “mainly clear sky” whereas on May 23 and 24 there is possibility of rain. They added that day temperature is expected to reach around 44 degrees on Thursday after that it may fall to 28 degrees by next Monday whereas night temperature may fall to 25 degrees on Thursday and then rise to 27 degrees by Saturday.
