AAP is for development only, says former IPS officer Bhaskar Rao

Mysuru: Former IPS officer Bhaskar Rao, who has joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), claimed that he got a whiff of wrongdoing in the police recruitment process when an officer was appointed to a key post.
Responding to a query during a press meet in Mysuru, Rao said: “When I was commissioner, I suspected something was amiss but now I understand that all these are political interests and nothing else.”
Rao said that after serving in the police department for 32 years, “I have joined AAP, which is an emerging party in India as new blood should enter politics”.
“People should change their attitude about politics and there is no need for money, influence or caste to do politics. AAP is ready to give a platform to enter politics. A mobile repairer has entered the Assembly in Punjab and our party is ready to give the opportunity to youngsters, unlike other parties that indulge in family politics.”
“Development and only development is our mission and our party strongly condemns corrupt practices. I strongly condemn caste politics too,” Rao said. “Advocates, doctors, journalists and government employees are supporting our party and AAP wholeheartedly welcomes them into the party fold,” he said.
