(18 May 2022, 11:28 +07) Saab has appointed Viktor Wallström as Senior Vice President and Head of Group Communications, effective no later than 1 October 2022.

Viktor is currently Executive Vice President - Communications & Sustainability at Tele2, a position he has held since 2013. During his time at Tele2, Viktor’s roles have included heading the communications related to one of Sweden’s largest corporate mergers to date and drove Tele2’s sustainability work to an industry leading position.

Prior to Tele2, Viktor was press secretary at the Swedish National Grid and has also worked as a consultant in Belgium and Sweden, mainly within the fields of public relations, internal communication and public affairs.

“With Viktor’s recruitment we add a solid and strategic leader with great experience to our already strong communications team,” said Micael Johansson, Saab’s President and CEO. “We see an increasing interest in Saab from many stakeholders and Viktor will continue to develop our communication, supporting our Swedish and international growth, our sustainability initiatives and our commitment to supporting our customers in keeping their people and societies safe.”

Viktor has a master's degree in political science from Uppsala University, specialising in peace and conflict research.
