Krishi Mela postponed indefinitely

Dharwad: The University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad has postponed the Krishi Mela-2022 that was to be held from May 27 to 29.
A release said the decision to put off the event was due to IMD’s forecast of early onset of monsoon.
“The farmers will be busy in pre-sowing and sowing activities and as such they will not be able to attend the event. Moreover, the Model Code of Conduct due to the announcement of elections to the legislative council from West Teachers’ Constituency is in force. Considering these aspects, the Krishi Mela has been postponed. The next dates of the Krishi Mela will be informed soon,” said an official.
However, he said the sale of seeds will commence in the university from May 23.
