Yogi harks back to SC's verdict on Ayodhya, says it was welcomed by people cutting across party lines

LUCKNOW: Even as the Gyanvapi KVT complex row undergoes a legal scrutiny, CM Yogi Adityanath on Thursday harked back to the November 2019 SC verdict in favour of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, saying that people cutting across community lines had then welcomed the apex court order.
Addressing an event organised by Vidya Bharati, the educational arm of the RSS, at Saraswati Kunj in Lucknow to celebrate Amrit Mahotsava by honouring the valour of Indian martyrs and jawans, Yogi said that the SC verdict in favour of Ram Temple at the birthplace of Lord Ram in Ayodhya depicted the communal harmony as well as the truth in the devotees' claim.
Adityanath termed PM Narendra Modi as "one leader" who has risen above politics of appeasement and divisive agenda to work for “Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat”. "He ensured that Article 370 (giving autonomy to J&K) was abolished. He is working tirelessly for the conservation of India’s cultural ethos,” Yogi said, underlining that when India became independent in 1947, it did not have the desired growth because of the politics of appeasement.
He recounted how in the last eight years of Modi’s governance, three crore poor people have got houses, 10 crore got toilets, 8 crore got LPG connections and 4 crore got electricity connections. "All these facilities remained elusive for seven decades”, CM Yogi remarked.
Yogi said that the Government not only developed vaccines for Covid-19 within nine months of the outbreak of the pandemic, but also provided free test, treatment and vaccination, in addition to providing free ration to 80 crore people for two years. "This was unimaginable during previous governments when vaccines came to India from abroad much after its development and when the epidemic was on the verge of eradication in other parts of the world," he claimed.
He congratulated Vidya Bharati for launching the campaign to honour India’s martyrs and brave soldiers. He said that the institute was playing commendable role in grooming a generation of nationalistic youth.
Yogi said that Vidya Bharati, which was started in 1952 at Saraswati Shishu Mandir, connected 40 lakh students with online classes during Covid. He urged the school authorities to not to lag behind in adopting new technologies. CM Yogi also released a number of books on the occasion.
