HYDERABAD:
Telangana recorded 38 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, of which 27 were in Hyderabad. The current positivity rate is 0.3%. The total count of cases recorded so far in the state stand to 7.92 lakh.
The death toll stands at 4,111 on Tuesday, as no deaths have been recorded for over two months now.
A total of 42 patients were declared recovered on Tuesday, taking the total tally of recoveries so far to 7.88 lakh. Currently, there are 370 patients under treatment. The recovery rate currently stands at 99.43% while the fatality rate stands at 0.51%.
On Tuesday, a total of 13,930 samples were tested. Telangana has now completed testing 3.48 crore samples and has reached 9.36 lakh sample testing per million population. “It is important to complete vaccination by taking both doses and it is also equally important to adhere to precautions against Covid, including wearing a face mask and maintain physical distance,” advised the health department.
Among the districts, Hyderabad had the most number of cases on Tuesday. This was followed by Rangareddy with four and
Medchal-Malkajgiri with one.
