Transmission(up 5.70%), Orient Green Power Company(up 5.00%), Adani Power(up 4.99%), Jyoti Structures(up 4.92%), ADANIGREEN(up 4.83%), Energy Development Company(up 4.79%), Inox wind(up 4.62%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 4.32%), DPSC(up 4.31%) and PTC India(up 3.94%) stood among the top gainers.
Inox Wind Energy(down 4.52%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 4.50%), KPI Green Energy(down 3.32%), NHPC(down 2.58%), Indowind Energy(down 2.15%), Hitachi Energy India(down 2.00%), Suzlon Energy(down 1.58%), Tata Power Company(down 1.43%), Torrent Power(down 1.35%) and NTPC(down 1.33%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 19.0 points down at 16240.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 109.94 points at 54208.53.
TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 2.73%), Shree Cement(up 2.11%), Hindustan Unilever(up 2.07%), UltraTech Cement(up 2.06%), Cipla(up 2.04%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.02%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.8%), Asian Paints(up 1.64%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.47%) and Bajaj Auto(up 1.29%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India(down 4.5%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 3.08%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.18%), Tata Motors(down 2.12%), Enterprises(down 2.05%), State Bank of India(down 1.99%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.97%), JSW Steel(down 1.68%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.62%) and Bharti Airtel(down 1.54%) closed in the red.
