YAMUNANAGAR: The police exumed the buried dead body of a man in Pipli Majra village in
Yamunanagar district on Wednesday, for conducting his post-mortem after his brother complained of the deceased's murder.
The deceased has been identified as Naem Khan (24) of Pipli Majra village, who was allegedly stabbed and killed by his brother Sufian.
On the complaint of Mohammad Qurban, another brother of Naem, the Yamunanagar police booked eight identified accused people including Sufian, and about 10 unknown others under Section 302 (punishment for murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence), 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Chhachhrauli police station.
As per the information, both brothers Naem and Sufian indulged in a heated argument over the issue of taking Naem's girl child for medicine, following which, Sufian stabbed Naem.
Sources said some people including family members of Naem hurriedly buried his dead body at the cemetery allegedly to hide the case of murder.
Mohd Qurban, who is a teacher in a madrasa in Buria town of Yamunanagar district, when came to know about the incident, he lodged a complaint to the police, which registered a case and dug the grave of Naem for conducting his post-mortem.
Investigation officer (IO) Baldev Singh said, "In his complaint, Qurban told that Naem was one of his brothers. Naem worked as a truck driver and when he returned home late night on May 15, Sufian's daughter was crying and his wife told him that she has pain in her stomach and no medicine was provided to her. Following, both Naem and Sufian indulged in heated arguments and Sufian stabbed Naem with a knife."
Naem later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on May 16.
IO said Naem's dead body was dug out for post-mortem and further action will be taken as per the post-mortem report.
