Angelo Agrizzi, the former Bosasa COO turned whistleblower, who has failed to appear in court for several months citing ill health, will be assessed by an independent pulmonologist on Thursday.
Agrizzi's matter was back in the Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on Wednesday.
It was postponed to 12 July, spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority’s Investigating Directorate's Sindisiwe Seboka said.
She said Agrizzi's warrant of arrest had been stayed.
Agrizzi last appeared in court in October 2020, with a small oxygen device. At the time, his lawyer explained that his absence from a previous court hearing was due to ill health, which resulted in him being on oxygen daily.
Agrizzi and former ANC MP Vincent Smith were arrested and charged with corruption.
Smith faces additional charges of fraud for alleged payments made to his company Euroblitz in 2015 and 2016.
He also faces charges of money laundering, tax evasion and breach of the Financial Intelligence Act.
The court previously granted the State's application for a separation of trial due to Agrizzi's ill health.
Smith has pleaded not guilty and maintains the money was a loan from Agrizzi, something which the former Bosasa COO denies.
