Ahmedabad hottest in Gujarat at 43.6°C

The usually busy Panchwati Road wore a deserted look on Monday afternoon as maximum temperature stayed above 40°C
AHMEDABAD: The city remained the hottest place in Gujarat with maximum temperature of 43.6 degrees celsius on Monday.
It was 1.7 degrees higher than normal. Minimum temperature was near normal at 27.5 degrees.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, temperatures are likely to go down a bit on Tuesday with maximum temperature of about 42 degrees. “No large change in maximum temperatures during the next 5 days very likely over the region,” the forecast said.
Other cities/towns recording more than 40 degrees celsius were Gandhinagar (42.8), Rajkot (42.3), Surendranagar (42), Kandla (41.5), and Bhavnagar (41).
