Bengaluru: Woman stabbed to death in front of daughter

BENGALURU: A woman was stabbed to death with a knife in front of her 10-year-old daughter outside her residence in Chikkavadagere village near Hesaraghatta early on Sunday.
The deceased is Bhagyashree C, 32, a factory employee, and mother of two daughters. The incident took place at 5.30am, minutes after her husband Basavaiah left home to attend a housewarming ceremony at Turuvekere.
Based on the statement given by Basavaiah’s daughter, police identified the suspect as their family friend Riyaz Pasha.
Police said Pasha and Basavaiah had some financial issues. Pasha was also interested in Bhagyashree.
