Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) despite putting on 193 runs on the board, saw Mumbai Indians (MI) put on a tough fight and win by 3 runs. This victory has also helped SRH stay alive in the tournament.
The numerous twists and turns in the second half of the chase saw the game almost go away from SRH's hands, but they prevailed in the end to snap their five-match losing streak.
Tim David did give Hyderabad a mighty scare with his blistering 18-ball 46 but Bhuvneshwar Kumar did a terrific job bowling the 19th over - a wicket-maiden.
Chasing 194, MI had made an excellent start with openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan adding 95 runs before SRH hit back thanks to Umran Malik (3/23).
The five-time champions did launch a late comeback, however, they had to finish at 190/7 in 20 overs for their 10th defeat of the season.
