Thane: Social media celebrity abused, assaulted by Shiv Sena neta

KALYAN: The Kolsewadi police on Sunday booked a local Shiv Sena leader and his two associates on the complaint of a social media celebrity who alleged the neta and his men abused and assaulted him at a Kalyan hotel.
The complainant, identified as Hemant Sharma, said he was celebrating having 30,000 followers on a social media platform at a hotel with is friends on Friday when Sena member Rahul Patil and his two aides approached him and started abusing and manhandling him.
Patil already has cases registered against him for extortion, assault and under arms act. Sharma filed a complaint claiming he feared threat to his life from Patil. The incident of assault has been captured on CCTV camera installed inside the hotel. -
