Women, tribals, farmers make up BJP’s focus areas in Gujarat
At the end of its two-day Chintan Baitak, the BJP in Gujarat laid out strategies for the forthcoming assembly elections in the state.

Apart from deliberating on the future programmes regarding the visits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda, the Baitak also dwelt on ways to strengthen various BJP morchas, which have specific areas of operation like women, tribals, farmers, to ensure maximum penetration.

The meeting was attended by Amit Shah, BJP national president BL Santosh and BJP Gujarat Co-incharge Sudhir Gupta apart from the entire top brass of the state leadership.

Gujarat BJP general secretary Pradipsinh Vaghela told reporters that the meeting evaluated the electoral results along with various programmes of the party and the government and deliberated upon ways to take the programmes further. He said the BJP hopes to lay the foundation for a major electoral victory in the 2024 elections by securing good results in the 2022 Gujarat elections. It is learnt that discussions were held on the tribal belts where voters have been restive for a while. It is expected that more visits by the PM will be organised along those regions to gain voter confidence.

Both the opposition Congress and AAP have been focussing on these regions. While AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal had addressed a rally in Bharuch along with tribal leader Chhotu Vasava, Rahul Gandhi, during his last visit, had addressed a major rally in the tribal district of Dahod.
