Three killed as two bikes collide

Coimbatore: Three people were killed after a motorcycle rammed into another motorcycle at Kaliyapuram Pirivu near Anaimalai on Sunday evening.
The deceased were identified as A Mohankumar, 21, of Vettaikaranpudur near Anaimalai, S Madankumar, 30 and S Akilan, 34, natives of Dharapuram in Tirupur district.“Mohankumar, who was on a sport bike, lost control over the vehicle and rammed into two bikes coming from the opposite direction around 6.15pm. One of the bikes was carrying Akilan and Madankumar. The three of them died on the spot,” a police officer said.G Manikandan, 31, of Kottur Road in Pollachi, B Malaravan, 33, a government schoolteacher from Kottur Malaiyandipattanam and J Jagadeesh, 29, of Vadugapalayam near Pollachi, who were on the other motorcycle, sustained injuries and were admitted to the Pollachi Government Hospital. tnn
