Speedy trial for 5 rape accused

Ranchi: The five persons who were caught “red-handed” while raping a minor girl in Ranchi earlier this week would undergo speedy trial and strict punishment, superintendent of police (rural) Naushad Alam said.
“The accused have confessed to the crime,” the SP (rural) added.
On Wednesday night, the accused persuaded the survivor to board their car and raped her inside the vehicle.
A police patrolling van spotted the car and nabbed the accused — all in the age group of 20 to 25 years and belonging to well-to-do families in the Dhurwa area of the city.
