Throw away Aryan model: DMK leaders

Coimbatore: DMK leaders called upon the people to ‘throw away Aryan model’ and back the Dravidian model for overall growth of the state.
At a workshop on ‘Dravidian Model is the National Model’ for DMK cadres and functionaries at the Suguna Auditorium in Coimbatore on Sunday, former Union minister A Raja termed the BJ’s governance as Aryan model which was regressive and divisive, one that should not be allowed to prevail.
Raja said that the Dravidian model of governance by chief minister M K Stalin has been winning acclaims across the country and even beyond, wherever Tamils are living. However, Raja said the Dravidian model was not followed only by Dravidian parties, but also the Congress. He said Congress stalwart K Kamaraj’s launch free meals scheme for school children was also Dravidian model of governance. While the Dravidian model wanted everyone to have education, the Aryan model restricts access to education to a selec few, he said.Tnn
