ICF has been given an all-time high target of 4,275 coaches in about 50 variants for the current production year of 2022-23, general manager of the factory
A K Agarwal said on Monday.
Speaking at the 67th Railway Week organised by ICF, Agarwal said despite the pandemic restrictions, the factory successfully produced 3,101 coaches last year with a mix of 1,391 airconditioned
LHB coaches, an all time high in a year.
The other coaches included 31 rakes of
MEMU, four rakes of Kolkata Metro coaches, special builds like SPIC, SPART,
DETC coaches, 83 mainline coaches and two air-conditioned DEMU rakes for export to Sri Lanka, he added.
He said that the new improved version of
Vande Bharat express rakes would be produced shortly.
He gave away medals and award certificates to 320 employees who rendered meritorious service during 2021-22.
