Lalu Prasad to take call on RJD’s Rajya Sabha nominees: Tejashwi Prasad Yadav

PATNA: Leader of opposition in state assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav made it clear on Sunday that only RJD national president Lalu Prasad would take a call on the party’s candidates for the Rajya Sabha election in the state scheduled for June 10.
He was in Delhi to meet his ailing father. Asked by reporters about the candidature of his eldest sister , he said, “The party’s national president will select the candidates and the names will be acceptable to us.” The five sitting Rajya Sabha members whose terms are expiring on July 7 are R C P Singh from the JD(U), Gopal Narayan Singh and Satish Chandra Dubey from the BJP, Misa Bharti from the RJD and Sharad Yadav who recently joined the RJD. The EC is slated to issue the notification for the election on May 24.
