Telangana sees 45 Covid cases, 36 in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Telangana recorded 45 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, of which 36 were in Hyderabad. The current positivity rate is 0.3%. The total count of cases recorded so far in the state stands at 7,92,571. The death toll stood at 4,111 on Thursday, as no new death has been recorded for over two months now.
A total of 39 patients were declared recovered, taking the total tally of recoveries so far to 7,88,036. Currently, there are 424 patients under treatment. The recovery rate currently stands at 99.43% while the fatality rate stands at 0.51%.
On Saturday, a total of 13,086 samples were tested. Telangana has now completed testing 3.48 crore samples and has reached 9.34 lakh sample testing per million population. “It is important to complete vaccination by taking both doses and adhering to precautions against Covid-19, including wearing a mask and maintaining physical distance,” said the health department.
